Youth Volunteer Corps (YVC) of Charleston is holding a series of Summer of Service events and projects, leadership development opportunities and team-building exercises for those between the ages of 11 and 18 starting Monday and lasting through Aug. 8.

Summer of Service events are focused on providing tools for kids to be successful as they navigate middle and high school and to encourage them to become leaders in their communities.

A new event will be announced each week with both virtual and in-person options. In-person service learning opportunities, such as litter sweeps and gardening and construction projects, are scheduled to begin in late July.

Those interested must complete the Youth Volunteer Profile and Parent Waiver or have one on file with YVC of Charleston. Register online at chsyouth.org.
