Black Magic Cafe has closed its West Ashley location, ending a two-year run at 1716 Ashley River Road.
“We have decided to close the [West Ashley] location, and will be exclusively operating Black Magic Cafe on James Island, starting TODAY,” Black Magic wrote on social media Tuesday.
Black Magic founder Eran Maron opened the original location on Folly Beach in 2009, later moving the business across the street to 103 W. Erie Ave. That location closed ten years later in 2019 once the lease ended, but the cafe serving coffee, omelets, sandwiches, salads and more debuted in West Ashley just one month later.
Black Magic did not cite a reason for its decision. Black Magic James Island, located at 1130 Folly Road, will continue to serve customers daily from 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
