MURDAUGH: SLED probes allegations of millions misappropriated from law firm. State police have opened an investigation into money missing from a law firm that fingered Alex Murdaugh, a member of the prominent legal family in the state. It’s the fifth investigation that is currently open for the family under that agency. The first two date to deaths in 2015 and 2019. The third is the deaths of Murdaugh’s wife and son. Don’t worry: S.C. to keep picking presidents, GOP chair says. S.C. Republican Party Chair Drew McKissick is part of the national party’s committee on the presidential primary process. He told the AP this week that South Carolina’s first-in-the-South primary will not be messed with. More: AP News
Carnival suspends Charleston cruises until 2022. Carnival Cruise Line has voluntarily extended its suspension of operations in Charleston and various ports throughout the United States until 2022, the company said in a news release. More: Charleston Regional Business Journal
