Dining with Obama, Twain and Lincoln
Anthony Castelli of Mount Pleasant wants to sit down with a few great Americans for a meal of staple dishes from around town. Here are his picks:
DREAM DINNER GUESTS: President Barack Obama, Mark Twain and President Abraham Lincoln.
DRINK: The American Pie from FIG. “On a colder day, it warms you up and is nostalgic around the holidays,” Castelli said.
APPETIZER: Spring rolls from Mi Xao. “I love the freshness of the Vietnamese Spring Roll with the peanut dipping sauce. Healthy, fresh and crisp.”
ENTREE: Bison steak from Halls Chophouse. “The Bison steak at Halls is one of my favorite steaks and always cooked to perfection.”
DESSERT: Flan at Barsa. “While desserts are very good all over, the flan at Barsa is the best! Firm, creamy and not too sweet.”
