Frozen cocktails with Rucker, Murray and Cunningham

Claudia Rucker of Johns Island enjoys classic Southern dishes from establishments around Charleston. Though there is speculation that Claudia’s husband may have familial ties to singer Darius Rucker, one of her dream dinner guests, it hasn’t been confirmed. But Darius, if you’re reading this, Claudia and her husband said they would love to take you out to dinner. “Maybe then we can find out if we are kinfolk!” she said.

DREAM DINNER GUESTS: Darius Rucker, Bill Murray and Joe Cunningham

DRINK: A Frozen Frizzle from Rita’s Seaside Grille. “Rita’s Frozen Frizzle makes me feel like I’m on vacation!”

APPETIZER: She-crab soup from Peninsula Grill. “Peninsula Grill’s She-Crab Soup has the creamiest base of any she-crab soup, just the right amount of sherry and lots of crab meat.”

ENTREE: Fried chicken from Mustard Seed. “Mustard Seed’s Fried Chicken is moist and the crust has a fabulous flavor.”

DESSERT: Lemon chess pie from Tomato Shed. “Although you rarely see any kind of chess pie anymore, Tomato Shed makes a lemon and a chocolate flavor. The lemon chess pie has the right amount of tartness and is a wonderful treat at the end of your meal…if they haven’t run out.”
