Dottie’s Pharmacy is like that old-fashioned compounding pharmacy that filled your grandmother’s prescription. Dottie’s has a compounding pharmacist, who formulates and prepares compounded medications that are not available at chain drug stores.
Compounding is the process of making custom medications designed to fit a patient’s individual needs. Compounding is not the only service that makes Dottie’s unique.
Dottie’s also handles traditional, specialty and long-term care pharmacy work. The specialty pharmacy fills prescriptions that are disease specific while the long-term care pharmacy accommodates elderly patients, who are typically in a retirement home facility. These traits were recognized by City Paper readers, who selected Dottie’s as the Best Local Pharmacy.
Founded by Dottie and Scott Farfone in 2013, Dottie’s is a family owned and operated business with an emphasis on customer service and providing medications at the best price.
