Blues/soul vocalist Wanda Johnson, aka the Carolina Queen of Soul, will perform at Bowens Island Restaurant Dockhouse at 6:15 p.m. on June 5.
For decades Johnson has been capturing the grit and passion of Lowcountry blues as she’s performed throughout America and Europe, boasting a heady discography of five studio albums that display her emotive yet incisive voice.
Joining her on June 5 will be rhythm and blues groups Big Daddy Cade and Cotton Blue with music starting at 4 p.m.
