Local singer and recording artist Tonya Nicole is both producer of and performer in the “Queens of Hip Hop Soul” tribute at the Charleston Pour House at 6 p.m. June 16.
Nicole is known for high energy performances and is teaming up with some heavy hitters to bring a tribute show in homage to R&B icons Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Mary J. Blige and Lauryn Hill.
Nicole will perform alongside powerhouse vocalists LaFaye and Jae Elle, rapper Slim S.O.U.L., keyboardist Noah Jones, backing vocalist Kevin Massey, guitarist Dave Grimm, bassist Tony Cobin, drummer Caleb Harper and jazz flutist Scott Pattison.
