Travelers who want to fly directly to Phoenix and Los Angeles have new options thanks to more flights offered by Breeze Airways. Today’s announcement pushes the number of cities served by Charleston International Airport to 21, according to a news release.
“These new western U.S. destinations are significant additions to our network and are examples of Breeze’s continued commitment to — and investment in — the Charleston region,” said Charleston hospitality executive Helen Hill, who chairs the Charleston County Aviation Authority. “Research tells us the Lowcountry is a popular destination for west coast travelers.
“Phoenix has been a focus market for inbound and outbound service for several years, and we’re excited to expand access for passengers traveling to and from California.”
- To Phoenix: Breeze will offer non-stop flights every Wednesday and Saturday starting Nov. 2, a news release said.
- To Los Angeles: Breeze will offer non-stop flights every Friday and Monday starting Nov. 4 to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
The low-cost air service also is adding daily flights to Provo, Utah, except for on Tuesdays, starting Nov. 2, airport officials said. While the flights won’t be non-stop, they will have only one stop and passengers won’t have to change planes, according to a release.
