Dining with legendary personalities
Angie Pitts of downtown Charleston wants to invite the late iconic cooking teacher and TV personality Julia Child, legendary singer-songwriter Prince and Foo Fighters guitarist/vocalist Dave Grohl to her dream dinner. Together, they’ll share fresh seafood, Italian and a fancy cocktail.
DREAM DINNER GUESTS: Child, Prince and Grohl.
DRINK: Panic Button at The Dewberry. “I feel fancy when I drink a Panic Button in the Living Room at the Dewberry.”
APPETIZER: The daily crudo at Bar George. “The crudo is locally caught and always superb at Bar George. And it’s a fun place to hang out.”
ENTREE: Bolognese from now-closed Lana. “I miss Chef John Ondo’s bolognese and have not found another restaurant that prepares it like he did. Maybe my dream dinner [gift] card will help me find it!”
DESSERT: Chocolate hazelnut budino from The Ordinary. “It looks like pudding but it’s so much more!”
