A shuckin’ good dinner
Taylor Leach of West Ashley would invite her husband along with a legendary musician and a late notable celebrity chef to dine on a dream dinner of local seafood, a noodle dish and a classic pastry.
DREAM DINNER GUESTS: John Lennon, Anthony Bourdain and husband Nate Leach.
DRINK: Certified Lover Boy at the Cocktail Club. “After a trip to Tulum, Mexico, this past summer, I have been obsessed with mezcal. The Certified Lover Boy at Cocktail Club has the perfect blend of smoky mezcal and passion fruit juice.”
APPETIZER: Oysters on the half shelf from 167 Raw. “I’ve never met a raw oyster that I didn’t like. Growing up in Charleston, eating oysters feels like home and 167 Raw always has a great variety.”
ENTREE: Garlic noodles from Pink Bellies. “I’ve followed Pink Bellies since its food truck started popping up near College of Charleston’s campus. These noodles are full of flavor, and I love seeing how successful the restaurant has become!”
DESSERT: Sticky Bun from WildFlour Pastry. “The Sticky Bun is only available on Sundays, and oh man is it worth it. They always sell out so you have to get there early!”
