Firefly Distillery invites the community to its free anniversary party Feb. 11 from noon to 6 p.m. This anniversary marks Firefly’s third year at its Park Circle location (4201 Spruill Ave.).
“Our Firefly friends, family, locals and visitors have made it possible for us to celebrate this milestone,” said Scott Newitt, co-founder of the distillery.
The anniversary party brings together local talent and businesses to celebrate. DJ Thomas will spin tunes from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and food trucks Don Sazon, Gordita’s Local and Riki Quito will have Latin fare available for purchase.
“The last few years have been monumental not only in the community, but for our growth as a South Carolina-based business,” Newitt said. “We want to mark this occasion alongside those who have supported us over the years.”

Special cocktails exclusive to the event include mimosas and Bellinis in addition to Firefly’s array of craft, seasonal and specialty cocktails.
Firefly relocated from its original location on Wadmalaw Island to Park Circle in 2020. Since then, it’s become a popular destination for events including the one of the first socially distanced concert series in 2020, large-scale food truck festivals, Saturday morning yoga classes and more.
During Firefly’s three years at the 25,000-square-foot Park Circle facility, it released seven new spirits and 12 special edition spirits as well as hosted 50 concerts and 150 community events. The property is also home to container farm King Tide Farms.
