Bluegrass Festival
Tickets are on sale now for the Charleston Bluegrass Festival, set for today and tomorrow at the Woodlands Nature Reserve. This year’s lineup features a return of artists and bands that have made previous festivals a success, said festival founder Eddie White, as well as several first-timers. Headlining the festival is recent Grammy Award-winner Molly Tuttle and jam band Leftover Salmon. Purchase tickets online.

Community Sweep Series kickoff
Join the Charleston Parks Conservancy, the South Carolina Aquarium and others for a litter sweep of waterfront communities across the Lowcountry with a kickoff downtown this weekend. Meet the team at Liberty Square before spreading out to clean along roads and waterfront properties from the Irish Memorial Park to Gadsdenboro Park. Supplies and instructions will be provided. Participants can enjoy complimentary pizza after the sweep.

Kids on Point is gearing up for its annual summer Ready. Set. Glow! fundraiser in partnership with Short Court Sports. Hop on an elevated court and play with a professional pickleball player and enter a raffle to win a trip on a 57-foot Bojan yacht. Crafting Freedom with Tiffany Momon
Join Tiffany Momon, co-director of the Black Craftspeople Digital Archive, for the next installment of the Charleston Museum’s 250th anniversary lecture series. This week’s lecture explores the life of John “Quash” Williams, an enslaved, and later free, carpenter living and working in 18th-century Charleston, and the impact his skills had on the domestic architecture of Charleston.
