Three named tropical storms are churning now in the Atlantic, but aren’t expected to threaten the Eastern coast at this time, forecasters say.
Tropical Storm Emily is expected to fizzle out at sea. Emily is expected to turn north in the mid-Atlantic by Wednesday and pose no threat to the S.C. coast.
Tropical Storm Franklin may dump heavy rains over Hispaniola and Puerto Rico by Tuesday, but is expected to turn northeast and fizzle out in the mid-Atlantic ay Saturday..
Tropical Storm Gert isn’t expected to last long, experts say. It may dissipate by Tuesday.
Meanwhile, California has been hammered by heavy rains from Tropical Storm HIlary, which led to flooding and mudslides.
