The people have spoken! The City Paper Music Awards final voting round is now underway after readers nominated their favorite artists in a variety of categories. 

The top five musicians who received the most nominations have now moved on to the final voting round, which ends Oct. 20. You can submit your votes at vote.charlestoncitypaper.com.

This year, the City Paper recognizes outstanding Holy City talent with 17 categories spotlighting various genres. 

During the final voting round, City Paper readers will vote for their favorite musician across these categories. After the final votes have been tallied, a musical showcase will be held in November, and winners will be announced.

Here’s what you need to know as a musician or band hoping to win in the final voting round: Campaign! Post on your social media accounts that final voting is open with a link to the voting website so friends, family and fans can vote for you to win. The final voting ballot will be open Oct. 2 through Oct. 20.
