As people in Maine are starting to mourn after 18 died in two Lewiston shootings last week, at least 11 people died and dozens were hurt in weekend shootings across the United States.

Two people died in a Tampa shooting; four died in Atlanta near a university. In Chicago, at least 15 were shot early Sunday during a large Halloween party.

In South Carolina, an Aiken man died Sunday after a standoff with police. Authorities also were probing shootings in Georgetown and Lexington counties. In Spartanburg County, one home experienced its third drive-by shooting.  More below in Statewide.
