Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday won the GOP presidential primary in New Hampshire by 11 percentage points. But former S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley, who built momentum in recent days with pointed criticism of the frontrunner, is vowing to keep fighting. She’s got a rally today in North Charleston ahead of the state’s first-in-the-South GOP primary on Feb. 24.

โ€œโ€œNew Hampshire is first in the nation โ€” it is not the last in the nation,โ€ she said in rousing remarks after the New Hampshire vote. โ€œWeโ€™re going home to South Carolina.โ€ She added that the race was โ€œfar from over.โ€

Haleyโ€™s rally will be held in the Grand Ballroom of the Embassy Suites by Hilton Charleston Airport Hotel & Convention Center on International Boulevard. Doors will open at 5 p.m. and the rally will begin at 7 p.m.

Haleyโ€™s campaign strategy has recently shifted from quiet patience to louder opposition against Trump.

โ€œWith Donald Trump, you have one bout of chaos after another,โ€ she said. โ€œThis court case, that controversy, this tweet, that senior moment. You canโ€™t fix Joe Bidenโ€™s chaos with Republican chaos.โ€

According to The New York Times article, Haley projected optimism and determination despite mounting hardships for her campaign. In New Hampshireโ€™s GOP primary, Trump led with 54.6%, compared to Haleyโ€™s 43.2%. She also lags far behind Trump in polls in her home state and faces growing calls from other Republicans to drop out of the race entirely.

While much attention is shifting to the S.C. primary, Trump is directing his focus to Nevada, which is hosting a state-run primary on Feb. 6 and a party-run caucus two days later. Haley is competing in the primary, but itโ€™s the caucus, in which Trump is running essentially unopposed, that allocates delegates.
