Celadon Books, a division of Macmillan Publishers, this week announced the acquisition of a new cookbook, Does This Taste Funny: Recipes Our Family Loves, written by Stephen Colbert and Evie McGee Colbert. The book is set to be published September 17.

Best known for his work on The Colbert Report and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Stephen Colbert is a Charleston native who draws from his Lowcountry roots in Does This Taste Funny. His wife is a Charleston native, too.

“We are so excited to announce our new cookbook, which we have been working on together for two years,” the Colberts said in a press release. “We hope everyone enjoys the recipes and stories. We made it with love … and an enormous amount of butter.”

The book is divided into helpful sections from party food to seafood to drinks. That last category is a favorite of Stephen Colbert’s, who, in the book’s description noted, “I love cocktail hour. It feels like a reward for having gone so long without a cocktail.”

You can preorder the cookbook online.
