Women’s Strike 2024

On the 2nd anniversary of the overturning of Roe v. Wade, girls, women and allies are planning to go on strike across the Lowcountry. Participants do not go to work, do not go to school, and/or do not spend even one penny. The strike coincides with a National Women’s Day parade downtown.

Carolina Day at the Nathaniel Russell House

Each year, the Palmetto Society of Charleston plans an annual parade from Washington Square Park to White Point Gardens to commemorate the Revolutionary War. Tour the gardens, play historical games, enjoy snacks, crafts and story time. Then, take a short walk to Washington Square to participate in the annual Carolina Day Parade.
