MORNING HEADLINES  |  Happy Thanksgiving, our particularly American holiday for celebrating blessings for the past year.  A few tips to make yours go better:

  1. Make sure you talk politics.  Umm, we’re being sarcastic.  Avoid politics to keep family harmony intact.
  2. Follow directions on cooking the turkey.  This is not a time for innovation.
  3. Take a little private time for yourself today.  Too much of a good thing (family, friends) can be a little too much.
  4. Give a hand.  If someone else is doing the cooking, make sure you help to clean up.  Pitch in.
  5. Have fun. Watch parades and football.  Play card and board games.  Watch that movie or binge on a televised series that you’ve always wanted to see.  Immerse yourself with family, friends – or just plain, quiet time.
