Fairies and Flowers
This summer, step into the Fairies and Flowers exhibit at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens — a dreamy adventure through more than 20 whimsical fairy village dwellings along acres of winding garden paths. Take in layered scenes and stories among the historic gardens, inviting guests of all ages to seek and discover hidden treasures tucked throughout the displays skillfully crafted by Charleston artists.

Geechie Southern Steppers Crab Crack
Get ready to crack some crabs and spend an evening at the Geechie Southern Steppers’ 2nd annual Crab Crack. Enjoy great music, local vendors and more finger-licking good times. Mary Glenn Keadle solo exhibition
Local artist Mary Glenn Keadle is displaying her award-winning piece along with a collection of paintings that explore rural South Carolina and its small towns at the Park Circle Gallery. Through paintings and sketches, Keadle focuses on spaces that exist just beyond attention
— quiet back roads, working land and often-overlooked communities.

Spring Acoustic Guitar Series

Join the 10 + 4 + 1 arts convergence
10+4+1 is a collaborative arts project at Piccolo Spoleto running from May 22 to May 29 at Cannon Street Arts Center, 134 Cannon St., with an anchor exhibit featuring works by sought-after local artists, among them Linda Fantuzzo, Lese Corrigan, Mary Walker and Hirona Matsuda. On May 23 at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., the project presents The Yellow Wallpaper, which joins Annex Dance, Unbound Ballet and Collective SC. On May 24 at 2 p.m., a production of Brad Erickson’s play Kansas takes the stage.

More seafood: The team at CudaCo. Seafood has introduced a new concept, Deckhouse. This crudo and wine bar is located at 769 Folly Road, right next to the original space and is open from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Expect dishes like fish skin cracklins, caviar, ceviche and crudo.

Small screen debut: City Eats: Charleston is set to premiere at 8 p.m. June 11. The show is hosted by celebrity chef and TV personality G Garvin and is on AspireTV, the network that celebrates and reflects Black culture and urban lifestyle. Garvin visits restaurants like 39 Rue de Jean, Bintü Atelier, Kultura, Ma’am Saab, My Three Sons and Wild Common.

Intimate omakase: At 6:30 p.m. June 8 and June 20, Shokudô is hosting omakase experiences led by Chef Masa Hamaya. Tucked into the back beer garden, the six-seat dinners offer a 10-course menu highlighting bites from the robata grill, signature nigiri, local vegetables and a sweet finish. An optional beverage add-on featuring sake and wine is available. Tickets are $100 per person, with a $45 beverage option available, exclusive of tax and gratuity.

Soccer celebrations: Uptown Hospitality Group and the Charleston Battery are teaming up to host a FIFA World Cup 2026 viewing party for the USA-Paraguay game on June 12 at the Bus Shed at 375 Meeting St. There will be multiple large screens along with bars and local food vendors, including Halls Chophouse, 82 Queen, Taco Boy and Charleston Crab House. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the live-streamed match starts at 9 p.m. Early bird general admission tickets are available for $30 and VIP tickets are available for $150 and include a private viewing area, open bar and oysters from Lowcountry Oyster Company. This event is 21+.

Tea time: Tickets are on sale for a one-night-only tea pairing dinner at Xo Brasserie from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. June 15. In collaboration with tea experts Shunan Teng of Tea Drunk and Richard Kligler of For All The Tea in Charleston, the dinner will feature five courses prepared by the Xo Brasserie culinary team, with each dish thoughtfully paired with teas selected by Teng and Kligler.
