In celebration of SC250, waterfront restaurant Fleet Landing is offering a three-course, prix-fixe menu by Executive Chef Andy McLeod, drawing inspiration from classic Charleston and Lowcountry cookbooks spanning decades. Available through July 5, the menu offers dishes like deviled eggs with caviar and pickled shrimp, spoon bread with oyster gravy and crispy shallot and ramp butter seared scallops with asparagus and a buttery Sally Lunn roll.

Home Team BBQ

Home Team BBQ is a natural fit for July 4 celebrations with its smoked meats, frozen drinks and festive atmosphere. The downtown, Sullivan’s Island, Mount Pleasant and West Ashley locations will all have specials over the holiday weekend.

Hotel Bennett

Hotel Bennett has two ways to celebrate the holiday this year. Camellias is hosting “The Charleston Tea Party” on July 4 with seatings at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. The tea requires reservations and will feature seasonal pastries, refined savories and curated teas, all with a festive, patriotic twist. The hotel will also host a “Grand Smash Finale at Fiat Lux” on July 4 in which the hotel’s rooftop will transform into a full-day, outdoor celebration featuring live DJ sets, sweeping skyline views and signature smash cocktails. The finale is open to the public and no reservations are needed.

The Loutrel

The Loutrel hotel has reimagined its beloved afternoon tea in honor of the 250th and Charleston’s pivotal role in the American Revolution. The “Lady Loutrel’s Revolutionary Tea” will be offered with curated historical anecdotes through August 2 with historically inspired teas, handcrafted bites and Lowcountry delicacies that reflect the flavors and traditions of the Revolutionary War era.

The tea features selections from Charleston-based tea company Oliver Pluff & Co. Sweet and savory offerings include fresh biscuits from Callie’s Hot Little Biscuits (served with Edisto Gold Honey, clotted cream, lemon curd and various fruit glazes, including peach and blueberry) and an assortment of tea sandwiches (including white cheddar pimento cheese, egg and asparagus salad, sweet potato and country ham and shrimp and scallion salad). Thursdays through Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Reservations are required.

Lewis Barbecue

For July 4, Lewis Barbecue is featuring the Sandia cocktail, which has tequila, fresh watermelon, jalapeño and lime. It balances sweet, spicy and tart flavors. Cost is $12 for or $39 for a pitcher and the cocktail is the perfect way to wash down some of the restaurant’s legendary central Texas style brisket.

The Watch Rooftop Kitchen and Spirits

The Watch Rooftop Kitchen and Spirits will celebrate Independence Day from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. with an all-you-can-eat Southern barbecue in view of Charleston’s annual fireworks display. Food includes pimento cheese and crackers, deviled eggs, watermelon, corn bread, pulled pork sandwiches, grilled shrimp fried chicken. Sides like spicy street corn, mac and cheese, collard greens, pasta salad and coleslaw will be available, and you’ll find sweets like brownies, cookies and rice krispy treats.
