Robopocalypse: The Musical!

Puppeteers for Fears, the world’s premiere all-puppet horror and science fiction musical comedy troupe, will present its terrifying and hilarious new work in Charleston at the Music Farm as part of the company’s 2026 summer tour. Years in the making, the show is a fun cyberpunk escapade exploring impacts of the meteoric rise of AI on a world still struggling to remember its email logins.

Tea Farm Creek canoe trip

Paddle into Tea Farm Creek with a trained naturalist to witness how human history has impacted the landscapes around us. View one of the only naturalized understories of tea plants in the country as you travel through abandoned rice fields and forests that have been reclaimed by salt marsh. Building Buddies

Get ready to build, play and make new friends! Building Buddies is a hands-on, interactive program at the Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry that encourages kids
to work together as they explore, stack, snap and build using a variety of fun materials like LEGOs, wooden blocks, magnetic tiles and more. This weekly event is free with museum admission.

LITERARY PRIZE

Emerging writers in North and South Carolina are invited to apply for the Charleston Literary Festival’s Wayland and Marion Cato Fellowship Prize, which will be awarded to one writer of fiction or nonfiction. Oyster oasis: Tickets are now on sale for the 42nd annual Lowcountry Oyster Festival, set to take place on Feb. 28, 2027, at Boone Hall Plantation and Gardens. The world’s largest oyster festival has over 45,000 pounds of steamed oysters available for purchase, a food court featuring a variety of local favorites beers, wine and specialty cocktails. The event also offers a “Pluff-a-Palooza” children’s area, oyster-shucking and -eating contests and live performances on the main stage, including a yacht-rock band, The Yacht Club.
