Lowcountry Strawberry Festival

Sweeten your spring at the Lowcountry Strawberry Festival this weekend with family-friendly fun, including live performances, magic shows, food and strawberry delights. Food Truck Friday

The town of Kiawah Island is hosting its weekly Food Truck Friday series through June 26, bringing flavorful foods and diverse selections. Each Friday features one rotating savory food truck, offering everything from pizza to global flavors. On select Fridays, guests can also find an additional dessert or beverage truck, adding a sweet or refreshing complement to the lineup.

Mount Pleasant Towne Centre rolls out the return of Live Under the Oaks, the town’s free outdoor concert series on Thursdays. First up at 6 p.m. May 7 is Skyler Waddell and the Stone River Project with City Sliders Food Truck.

Lunch deal: Bareo, a dumplings and kakigori concept, now offers a prix-fixe lunch special where guests choose one snack, onigiri, dumpling, bowl and kakigori for $32. The downtown restaurant has also opened its patio, offering additional seating for walk-ins.

Trail of the cocktail: The Loutrel’s annual cocktail trail kicks off on May 1 for the next six months. The “Garden to Glass Trail” guides people to some of the city’s best cocktail destinations, and passports are available at the Loutrel. Participants need to collect six stamps from participating locations by Oct. 25. Those that complete the challenge will receive 50% off cocktails at Veranda Lounge for the remainder of the year and will also be entered into a giveaway to win a staycation at the hotel plus a $150 dining credit.

Celebratory sushi: CO Charleston, located at 340 King Street, is celebrating 14 years in Charleston with a one-day-only anniversary special on May 4. Guests can enjoy a selection of CO’s signature sushi rolls at the throwback price of $1.40. The first 140 people to arrive will be entered to win free sushi for a year. Potluck party: The 18th annual Chef’s Potluck takes place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. May 17 at the Porter Room at Holy City Brewing. More than 20 talented local chefs team up with farmers, fishermen and ranchers to showcase Lowcountry ingredients. Tickets are all-inclusive and include tastings from Lowcountry restaurants as well as local beer, wine, cocktails and NA beverage options and entertainment will be provided by DJ Natty Heavy. Kids and adults can also visit a goat petting zoo. Early access tickets are $185, general admission tickets are $145 and kids are free.
