What you need to know: Charleston’s Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center, which started administering vaccine doses in December, is now expanding the availability of the Pfizer vaccine to more veterans.
According to Live 5 News, the VA said it is making appointments for veterans along with their caregivers, spouses and other beneficiaries falling within the standards set by the SAVE LIVES Act, a bill signed into law on March 24 by President Biden.
If you are eligible and want to make an appointment, call the VA at (843) 789-6900. The VA has administered nearly 60,000 doses to date.
