Local Request Not Unique
Unique! Charleston is unique. We live or die by our uniqueness, economically, artistically, culturally. Last week Deanne Pace sent an interesting letter about your Best of Charleston issue and I think you should pay attention. Votes for chains in restaurants, stores, and all other commercial aspects of this city should be limited to those locally owned. Yes, the people running and serving in these chains are working hard, but we’re Charleston; we need unique coffee houses, unique restaurants, unique entertainment. These unique places need publicity and support.
