The Voice for School Choice has compiled a list of school district spending across the state and it suggests good things for Charleston County.

Out of 85 school districts, Charleston ranked 71 in per pupil spending based on general operating costs, with $9,824. The district is also well below the state average of $11,480. According to their figures, Charleston is also below the North Carolina average.
