I got a laugh this morning reading Preview. While all local music writers sometime make minor spelling mistakes and factual errors, this one cracked me up. Writer Simone Monet-Williams did a nice piece on this Saturday’s Holy City Cold Heart Revival event, but referred to the owner of the Pour House as “Steve Harris,” rather than Alex Harris. In the world of music, the real Steve Harris plays bass and writes most of the music for veteran metal band Iron Maiden!
Maybe Steve Harris actually bought the Pour House recently … maybe he’s somehow related to Alex and plans to relocate from the U.K. to the Lowcountry and run it as an ’80s metal venue … maybe its true! Wow, it’s funny to consider…
