This morning, the friendly folks at the North Charleston Coliseum announced a big concert โ€” contemporary country songstress and Big Machine recording artist Taylor Swift (at left and below) will bring her current โ€œFearless Tour 2009โ€ to the Coliseum on Thurs. April 30. They told us it will feature โ€œan incredibly theatrical presentation of graphics, sets, and visual elements designed by Taylor herself.โ€ How about that, kids?

American Idol finalist Kellie Pickler, a close pal of Swiftโ€™s (pictured at right), will do an opening set in support of a current single titled โ€œBest Days Of Your Life.โ€

Swiftโ€™s sophomore album Fearless has sold more than 2.4 million copies since its release in November of last year. She recently topped Nielsen SoundScanโ€™s all-genre year-end music sales report as 2008โ€™s top-selling artist.

The โ€œFearless Tour 2009โ€ visits 52 cities in 38 states and provinces across North American over the span of six months.

โ€œHeadlining my own tour is a dream come true, Swift stated in this morningโ€™s press release. โ€œThis way I can play more music every night than I ever have before. Having written my own songs, they are all stories in my head, and my goal for this tour is to bring those stories to life. My favorite thing when I go to a concert is having lots of changing things to look at, so Iโ€™ve been working really hard to make this show as multi-dimensional as possible. I want to be sure that everyone has the opportunity to come see my show, so we have affordable tickets available for every date we do this year.โ€

Tickets go on sale Fri. Feb. 27 at 10 a.m. via the box office, Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at (843) 554-6060, or online at www.ticketmaster.com.
