The dark green building holding Sullivan’s Island’s cozy Dunleavy’s Pub is ground zero during the annual St. Patrick’s Day celebrations along Middle Street. Dunleavy’s always books an Irish-born singer/guitarist (last year it was Walter McDonough) to carry on from the front window stage area. While the throngs raise hell during the afternoon block party, the tipsiest stout-infused imbibers become the real entertainment, dancing erratically, stumbling to the floor, and ending up draped across someone else’s lap or table. It’s a boozy scene.
