The foodie scoop of the moment comes from Marion Sullivan over at Charleston Magazine: Daniel Boulud will be the headliner of the 2010 Charleston Wine + Food Festival.

Boulud is in a category way beyond the TV celebuchefs. Not just a chef, he’s billed as a leading culinary authority. He’s received universal acclaim for his many restaurants: DANIEL in NYC along with Cafe Boulud, DB Bistro Moderne, and Bar Boulud. Last year, he expanded internationally, opening restaurants in China and Vancouver. He’s won every designation coveted by chefs: the Outstanding Restaurateur James Beard Award, Top Table from Gourmet, four stars from the New York Times, and the Chevalier de la Legion d’Honneur.

According to Sullivan’s report, Boulud will be the star of Mickey Bakst’s Dinner with a View event, which takes place in Terri Henning’s spectacular apartment atop the People’s Building.

Tickets go on sale Sept. 3, and I bet the Dinner with Daniel event will sell out quick.
