College kids catch a break Thursday nights at the Hippodrome

Cheap dates are back. The Terrace Hippodrome downtown is now offering $5 tickets to students with a valid college ID every Thursday in September and October.

On Thurs. Sept. 10, you can catch the Tim Burton-produced, animated flick 9. The Bruce Willis sci-fi actioner Surrogates opens on Fri. Sept. 25, while the highly anticipated This Is It, featuring rehearsal footage of Michael Jackson as he prepares for what would have been his final concerts, comes out Wed. Oct. 28.
