What does Aldwin Roman have in common with Heroes heartthrob Milo Ventimiglia? For one, they’re both dreamy. Both have also been nominated to be PETA’s “Sexiest Vegetarian.”
Roman, French native and current Charlestonian, is currently in the running of “Sexiest Vegetarian Next Door,” PETA’s newest beauty contest. He and nine other male finalists are duking it out to be top dog.
The prize is a free vacation for two to Maui, Hawaii.
“I became a vegetarian about two and a half years ago,” said Roman who had been discussing his health issues with his fiancée Christine Bush. “After I became a vegetarian, I became much healthier and more active…I didn’t get that lethargic feeling anymore that meat makes you feel.”
Roman currently works as a vet tech with the Pet Helpers’ spay and neuter clinic. If Roman wins the contest, he and Bush will use the trip as a honeymoon following their wedding in September.
Roman also said that he would use his winning status to spread the importance of spaying and neutering pets. Voting ends on March 31, and the winner will be announced April 14. To see the top ten men and women finalists, go to sexyvegnextdoor2010.peta.org.
