A handful of select movie theaters across the U.S. will screen The Big Four: Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax — an “in-theatre event” scheduled for Tues. June 22 with an encore screening on Thurs. June 24. Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax recently performed on one stage together in a “historic concert event.”

Presented by NCM Fathom and BY Experience, the showing will feature nearly four hours of live performances and behind-the-scenes footage from the Sonisphere Festival in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich says in a press release, “Who would have thought that more than 25 years after its inception, thrash metal’s big four would not only still be around and more popular than ever, but will now play together for the first time?”

The Big Four shows at the Azalea Square Stadium 16 in Summerville (215 Azalea Square Blvd.) at 7:30 p.m. on Tues. June 22 and again on Thurs. June 24. Visit fathomevents.com for more.
