On Tues. June 29 at 7 p.m., Redux Contemporary Art Center will screen Not Your Mama’s Roller Derby as part of Cory Oberndorfer’s Novelty exhibition. The documentary, an official selection at the 2009 Rhode Island International Film Festival, chronicles the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association and Providence’s Roller Derby League, one of the sport’s first leagues. The screening is free and open to the public, and seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
