I suffer buyer’s remorse every time I buy a beer.

Why did I just waste my hard-earned money on a growler of high-gravity swill when there are bills to pay and hangover-hell to pay the next morning, I ask myself time and time again.

And then I remember that the reason I drink is precisely because there are simply too many bills to pay and not enough money to do it.

Oh. Who am I kidding? I don’t need to be suffering from a bout of debt-induced depression to drink. I don’t believe in excuses.

That said, I understand what the folks in Delaware are going through right now when it comes to GOP Senate nominee Christine O’Donnell. I once bought a six pack of Shiner Bock. And between you and me, I still have that nasty copperish taste in my mouth. Worst $6 I ever spent.

But back to O’Donnell. This weekend, comedian Bill Maher released a video in which a much-younger O’Donnell admitted that she “dabbled in witchcraft” and once had a picnic on a blood-stained altar.

Well, who hasn’t? If it wasn’t for ritual sacrifice, I never would have gotten laid in high school.

Seriously, though, people need to give O’Donnell a pass on this one. Kids do stupid shit. Hell, I once bought a Winger album.

The point is, we should judge O’Donnell for what she has done as an adult, not as a teen.

Unfortunately, the same applies to Nikki Haley.

And in a surprising display of moxie, Vincent Sheheen is finally taking Haley to task for her numerous mistakes, from paying taxes late to failing to disclose $42,500 in income to wanting to increase grocery taxes on broke-ass folks like you and me while giving big corporations a bye, in his latest campaign video. What a witch.

Head on over to the Sheheen campaign to see the video.
