Getting his start in showbiz performing at his family’s West Ashley club Our Glass Cafe, up-and-coming hip-hop artist and Charleston native Timothy Mason — a.k.a. Young Tunez — has spent the last few years touring and recording. He landed a killer break this spring when he won a round on B.E.T.’s nationwide Blaze the Stage competition in March.
Mason performs a song live on 106 & Park’s “Wild-Out Wednesday” series during the finals in New York City this week. The event will be shown live on B.E.T. at 6 p.m. on Wed. July 13. Viewers can vote for their favorite contestant via bet.com.
