There’ll be plenty of earthy music at the Carolina Dirt Fair scheduled for 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sun. April 29 at Mullet Hall Equestrian Center on Johns Island (2662 Mullet Hall Road).

As a tie-in with the Charleston Green Fair in September, the Dirt Fair features workshops on gardening, farming, and community-supported agriculture.

The musical performances kick off at noon with a singer/songwriter set featuring Brady Smith, Nic Skey, and Hunter Ford. Acoustic Americana trio Gravel Road hits the stage at 1 p.m., followed by country/pop act Irene Rose Band and old-time/folk ensembles the Chompin’ at the Bit String Band and the South Carolina Broadcasters, who just recently released their second album, Can You Hear Me Now. Admission is $10 (kids get in for free).
