Speaking of fundraising (see Bulls Bay story), COAST Brewery is also coming to the end of a fundraising campaign on the Funding Charleston site.
They are looking to go from a seven-barrel operation to a 30-barrel operation, which will significantly effect how much more product they’ll be able to put on tap in Charleston. Plus, they want to improve their taproom — and they’re leading the charge to change a law so they can serve proper pints in their tasting room too.
If any grassroots local business deserves your love, it’s Jaime Tenny and David Merritt (and their boys Kai and Aidan) at COAST.
They are three days and $17,765 away from their $40,000 goal. Check out the video to hear Tenny’s eloquent case for supporting her family-run business.
