It’s mid-June, and we are all tired of the rain. Countless beach days have been ruined, and it feels like the weather just doesn’t want us to have any fun. Well, despite what the weather wants there are some great indoor and outdoor events happening this weekend to brighten our moods.

If you’re looking to have a fun night out on the town then Friday is your night. You could head over to the Folly Beach Fishing Pier for a Moonlight Mixer.

Or, you could check out the Evening Art Market between Church and State Streets. Shop for artwork, fine jewelry, woodworks, and other local crafts. If you’re hoping to dance the night away, go on over to the Felix Davis Community Center for Contra dancing. Everyone from all ages and lifestyles is welcome.

Perhaps you’d prefer a little culinary literature event instead? If so, Heirloom Book Company hosts Bon Appetit’s Andrew Knowlton at a signing for The Grilling Book before he hosts the Grub Crawl on Saturday.

Saturday is a day for outdoor activities. The Charleston CariFest’s parade will be sure to put a smile on your face. Grabs the kids and watch as the dance and singing performances stroll through downtown.

You’ll probably want a snack after the parade, so shake it on over to Xiao Bao Biscuit as they host a summer solstice party.

One great thing about Charleston? The beach is always just down the road. Head to Station 26 on Sullivan’s for the Holy City Beard and Moustache Society Summer Beach Party. Yes, it is a real thing, and it’s free.

If you’re hoping to do some good for the day you can attend the Berries for Babies charity event at Champney’s Blueberry Farm. The Farm is hosting the event, and half of all the you-pick proceeds will be donated to the MUSC Children’s Hospital. Once you’re done picking, double up your philanthropic efforts and check out the Rock to Stock event at Brick House Kitchen.

What’s that matey? Want to find something inside on Saturday? Take the family to Charleston Museum and learn more about the Pirates of Charleston. End the evening with the Park Circle Film Society’s showing of Shadow Dancer

Have fun this Sunday at the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina with their “Sunday Fun Day” party. Listen to live music and enjoy some time in the sun.

This Sunday is also the Third Annual Lowcountry Blueberry Festival. Blue Pearl Farms will host the event with love music from Tommy Thunderfoot & the Accelerators, crafts, and lessons on how to grow the best blueberries.

The Charleston County Public Library will be playing Earthlings, a documentary that examines the meat industry.

If you want a fun way to spend Sunday night grab some friends and check out Manny’s Neighborhood Grille for team trivia. You could win up to $50 dollars in house cash.
