Chris Winn of Palmetto Brewing Co. has come up with an event that the Homer Simpson in you will love: a five-course, beer-paired tater tot dinner at the Recovery Room. Maybe dinner isn’t the right word for five courses of tater tots.

Each tot creation will be concocted by a different chef and paired with a unique Palmetto Beer.

Rec Room proprietor Chris “Boston” DiMattia will do something ghetto fabulous, says Winn, while Brannon Florie from Rarebit might pile tots high with oxtails or duck. Will Fincher of Closed for Business and Monza will take a course and so will the crazily creative Cory Burke of Roti Rolls and the Green Door. The fifth chef is still being confirmed. It will no doubt be a carb-loading affair. Hopefully you have a 5K to run the next morning or something.

The dinner takes place Mon. Sept. 16 at the Rec Room. The cost is $30. Tickets haven’t gone on sale yet, but we’ll let you know when they do.
