If there’s one thing we don’t know in Charleston, it’s snow days. They’re more like wet, cold, muddy days. And today was no exception.

While the worst of the white stuff bypassed Charleston (check out the snow in Eastern North Carolina, not to mention Atlanta), a well-defined dusting settled on the Lowcountry overnight and into drive time this morning. That meant some quality sled-time for the kids and even a few snow/slushmen here and there.

All-in-all, between a quarter and half-inch fell of… everything fell on the Charleston area during Leon, according to National Weather Service estimates, but hey, that’s all you need to trigger three-days of school closures around here.
