The Tarlatans, a Charleston-based Americana rock group originally from Clemson, have debuted a new single off the six-song EP Good Luck that’s set for an August 12 release. Vocalist and guitarist Taylor McCleskey says, “It’s been a while since we put out new music. We took our time trying to get out there and were still discovering our sound.”

With their new single “Home Sounds Fine to Me,” it seems they’ve found it. The catchy song features G. Love — yes, of Special Sauce fame — showing off his world-class harmonica talents and is produced by Jay Clifford of the defunct Charleston band, Jump.

The Tarlatans’ August 9 performance at the Charleston Music Hall will celebrate the new album, but fans can hear a sample now by going to the Wakarusa Festival website where the single “Home Sounds Fine to Me” is now streaming. The band will play the festival on June 7. You can also purchase “Home Sounds Fine to Me” on iTunes.
