It rained yesterday. It’s raining today. The forecast calls for rain tomorrow. But that didn’t stop three Charleston dudes from putting together a wakeboarding course in a flooded downtown street on Tuesday night.

Charleston-based filmmaker Adam Boozer first posted some footage of the shenanigans this morning on Instagram, but later posted more on Vimeo. The footage shows pro wakeboarders Wesley Mark Jacobson, Davey Blair, and Wes Huber being pulled by a winch down a flooded downtown last night, ripping off a few tricks over some flexible tube, a city trash can, and a traffic barrel all while navigating around telephone poles, curbs, and cars. Blair tells us the guys spent about 30 minutes assembling the course and took advantage of the 10-inch deep water for about another 90 minutes before it started receding.

Of course, water quality experts, state health officials, and your mother don’t recommend diving under floodwaters just to say you did, but what would be the fun in that?
