Lana Restaurant & Bar is getting a palette cleanser. No, that’s not a typo. Rather than a menu update, the restaurant at the corner of Rutledge and Cannon streets is installing a new series of artwork by Charleston impressionist painter Rick Reinert. The artist was commissioned by Chef John Ondo and his wife Angela Hall to depict the essence of Lana’s neighborhood, Cannonborough.
A press release explains that the update is in honor of the Lana’s 10 year anniversary. “To celebrate … Lana is lending a new eye to detail. With an in-house art gallery and sleek, modern dinnerware, the local institution is ready to step into the next phase of its bright future.”
Three of the oil on linen paintings are already hanging in the space and the rest will be installed by the end of this month.
