Charleston artist Conor Donohue is leaving the Holy City for the Big Easy, and he’s having a party.

To bid farewell and godspeed, head to Local 616 (616 Meeting St.) Feb. 2, where Donohue’s band will headline. Donohue will be joined by folk trio She Returns From War and sultry-rock songstress FALINE, who’ll also release her debut single “Valet” that night. The track features backup vocals from Donohue, She Returns From War’s Hunter Park, and Lily Slay.

Donohue says he loves Charleston and may be back, but for now a change of scenery is in order. “I want to experience a different city and its culture,” he says. “New Orleans has a lot of appeal between its cost of living, it being in the South, and its eccentricity.”
