If I had a wad of cash, I’d be investing in Park Circle right about now. The area has seen a flurry of new restaurant activity in the past two weeks and now we have more to tell. The Junction Kitchen & Provisions (formerly Port City Pizza) has opened for business at 4438 Spruill Ave.

Co-owner Kimana Littleflower tells us that after some interior renovations, The Junction officially opened this morning. A cafe and grocery, Littleflower says they plan to offer classic salads and sandwiches, like Monte Cristos and Port City Pizza’s well-loved cheesesteak, in addition to pantry staples, tomato pies to-go, and wine.

In the a.m. neighbors can stop in for their Buzz Donut — coffee-rubbed bacon with an over easy egg on a house-made biscuit doughnut with a coffee mocha dip. The dish, along with all breakfast items, are available all day.

The Junction is open Mon.-Fri. 6:30 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sat. 10 a.m.-3 p.m. with plans to add Wednesday evening tapas soon.
