Though it’s been open for nearly a month now, the big selling point of The Westendorff — brunch every day — has been on hold while the business got up and running. But all that changes Sunday when The Westendorff will debut brunch service at 10 a.m.
“We have decided to start with just Sunday brunch this weekend,” Westendorff owner Steven Niketas says in an email. “We’ll add Saturday brunch the next weekend and hope to go to daily brunch in September.”
So what’s on the menu? Everything from the Ultimate Sticky Bun to Sweet Potato Ginger Waffles. Of course, there are also standards like biscuits and gravy, corned beef hash, and an egg sandwich. But we’re most curious about what Chef Ted Jackson is calling a Hangtown Fry — fried oysters, house bacon lardons, kennebec potatoes, and remoulade. Sunday’s full menu is below. Note: only walk-ins will be accepted for the restaurant’s inaugural Sunday brunch service.
