Nigel Drayton and his wife Louise have been planning on opening a second restaurant for years. Now, after the success of their Nigel’s Good Food in North Charleston, they’ve unlocked the doors on Nigel’s Good Food II in Ladson at 9616 HWY 78 #11.
“It’s the same menu and same good food,” says Louise. Nigel’s large menu features items like seafood platters, gumbo, oyster stew, and Geechie Wings served with Nigel’s special Geechie sauce.
The restaurant held a soft opening last night and will begin serving dinner (dine-in only) as well as happy hour Mon.-Thurs. from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Fri. and Sat. until 11 p.m.
And, according to Louise, this may not be their last expansion. The couple says additional Nigel’s could be in their future as well as some other restaurant ideas the two are cooking up.
