Local ice cream sandwich biz, Wich Cream, really appreciates the farmers who make their flavors possible. So much so that they’re running a tribute series where a buck from each wich sold (including the small ones) will go back to a designated farm.
Blue Pearl Farms — McClellanville growers of delicious blueberries — is the latest recipient. Right now, $1 from every Blueberry Cheri wich. The sandwich includes vanilla Carolina Gourdseed cornmeal from farmer Celeste Albers with a kiwi honey glaze from Blue Pearl Farms and ice cream made from roasted Blue Pearl blueberries and chamomile.
Grab one at Mixson Market, Bert’s Market, and Charleston area farmer’s markets, including: downtown Charleston, West Ashley, and Mt. Pleasant.
